The team also has partnerships with Mohit Burman and Karan Paul. Preity Zinta is known as the face of the team, having had a successful and glamorous career in Bollywood. 

She is passionate about the team, regularly attending matches and believing that her presence brings good luck to the team. Her net worth is estimated to be around $15 million. 

The team, previously known as Kings XI Punjab, is one of the original eight teams of the IPL. 

Wadia is also the managing director of Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation, a company that has holdings in most of the Wadia Group subsidiaries. 

Karan Paul, the chairman of the Apeejay Surrendra Group, and Mohit Burman, an Indian businessman, and the managing director of Elephant Capital plc, are also stakeholders of the team.

The team was previously known as the Delhi Daredevils but changed their name to the Delhi Capitals two years prior after the JSW Group purchased a 50% stake in the team. 

One of the owners, Parth Jindal, has a net worth estimated at around Rs. 706.3 crores and is the youngest franchise owner in the IPL. 

The JSW Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate with various business ventures in steel, energy, infrastructure, cement, and paint, and the GMR Group operates and manages airports, energy utilities, highways, and urban infrastructure facilities. 

The JSW Group’s logo prominently features on the team’s jersey.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is owned by Indian alcoholic beverage company United Spirits and Indian media conglomerate Culver Max Entertainment, which is owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment. 

Despite not winning any seasons yet, the team has been a runner-up three times in 2009, 2011, and 2016 under the leadership of Kevin Pietersen, Daniel Vettori and Virat Kohli. Bollywood star Deepika Padukon is often seen supporting the team at matches. 

United Spirits, the world’s second-largest spirits company by volume, is a major stakeholder in the team.

The Indian fugitive Vijay Mallya earlier owned the RCB but stepped down from a position due to legal and financial issues.

Under the captaincy of former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir, KKR won the IPL twice in 2012 by defeating and in the 2014 season by defeating Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab. 

KKR has seen its fair share of ups and downs in performance over the years but remains one of the most popular teams in the league. The team also holds the record for the longest winning streak by any team in the t20s.

After the Deccan Chargers went bankrupt, the Sun TV network purchased the franchise and renamed it the Sunrisers Hyderabad. 

The franchise has won the IPL twice, first in 2009 under Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist’s leadership and subsequently in 2016 under Australian cricketer David Warner’s captaincy. 

Kalanithi Maran runs a media empire with 33 television networks and 45 FM radio stations. His net worth is believed to be approximately 240 billion US dollars.

CSK has won the IPL four times in 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021. The team holds the reputation of being the only team in the IPL to have appeared in all playoffs except the 2020 season. 

CSK also has the record for the most appearances in the IPL finals. However, following a spot-fixing incident in 2015, the Justice Lodha Committee suspended the team for two years. 

The owner of the team N Srinivasan is the former Chairman of ICC and the President of the BCCI.

Sanjiv Goenka, the owner of the RPSG group own the newest IPL team Lucknow Super Giant led by Indian star batsman KL Rahul.

The RPSG Group, headed by Sanjiv Goenka, won the rights to the Lucknow-based Indian Premier League (IPL) team in an auction held by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on October 25, 2021, in Dubai. 

The group’s bid of 7090 crores was significantly higher, about 250% more than the base price of 2000 crore set by the BCCI. The RPSG Group is a multinational conglomerate with a diverse range of businesses including power and energy, carbon black manufacturing, retail, IT-enabled services, 

FMCG, media and entertainment, infrastructure and education. The group has reportedly bid the highest amount of 7,000 crores for the new IPL team of 2022.

CVC Capital Partners, a French private equity and investment advisory firm based in Luxembourg is the owner of the one-time champion Gujarat Titans led by Indian star allrounder Hardik Pandya.

The CVC Capitals emerged victorious in the bidding war for an Indian Premier League (IPL) team, by placing a bid of 5625 crores (over 692 million USD). 

This bid was significantly higher, around 160% more than the base price set by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). 

The team, Gujarat Titans, led by Hardik Pandya, went on to make history by winning the IPL 2022 title against Rajasthan Royals. They won by seven wickets, becoming the first debut team to win the finals of the IPL.
