The Indian Premier League (IPL) was started in 2008 with eight teams, and now ten cities are playing in the Indian Premier league.

The Gujarat Titans won their first championship in the most recent season. 

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a domestic, yearly Twenty20 cricket event held in India organized by the IPL Governing Council,  under the aegis of the  Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It is the second-best playing sports league globally and the most popular Twenty20 competition in the world.

The IPL Squad that wins the final match is crowned the Indian Premier League champion.
