In the 2017 IPL season, while chasing the target of 159 runs, Kolkata Knight Riders scored 105/0 runs in a power play against the Royal Challengers Bangalore and created a record for the most runs in the first six overs of an innings.

Chris Lynn scored 50 runs in just 20 balls with a strike rate of 227.27 by hitting five fours and four sixes in his innings.

Sunil Narine also scored a powerful knock of 54 runs in just 17 balls with a strike rate of 317.64 by smashing six fours and four sixes in his innings.
