Though the debut of Test cricket 2014 for KL Rahul was not as expected he returned with a smashing century 101 against Australia in 2015 during the New Year Test at the SCG. Following his form, he smashed another crucial knock of century with 108 runs against a tour of Sri Lanka in 2015 that helped India seal the match with a win.
In 2016, Kl Rahul again got a bit unlucky with his record of scoring 200 runs. Rahul scored 199 runs against England in Chennai. He was dismissed at 199 runs and missed the chance to mark 200 runs under his name.
Moreover, another Kl Rahul test century came after two years, but he was continuously scoring runs for his country in between those two years. The only drawback was he was unable to convert them into a three-figure score. Rahul put a remarkable score of 149 against England on the tough pitch where everyone was struggling with making runs.

KL Rahul’s ODI Centuries
Kl Rahul started his career in ODI in the year 2016. His debut was very special as he managed to score a century in his first match of the ODI. Rahul scored 100* against Zimbabwe at Harare. The record was even more special as he was the first Indian batsman to score an ODI century on his debut. Later on, Kl Rahul was not able to perform consistently and hence he missed many centuries in between.
However, in the 2019 World Cup, his second ODI century came against Sri Lanka at Leeds and his struggling phase was over. In the following year, he also scored one more century against West Indies with 111 runs. Since then he started playing very well as a middle-order batsman and scored another century in 2020 against New Zealand- 112 at Mount Maunganui and in 2021 Rahul scored 108 against England in Pune.
Continuing his form in the ODI, KL Rahul played very well for India in Asia Cup 2023. He scored another masterclass century against Pakistan in the league with a magnificent partnership of 233 runs with Vira Kohli. This led to India winning the match. KL Rahul’s T20 Centuries
His T20 first century came in the year 2016 August. At that time he was the only third Indian batter after Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma to have the record of scoring centuries across all the three formats. Kl Rahul scored 110 runs off 51 deliveries in the T20I series against the West Indies in Florida. The next T20 century by Kl Rahul came in the year 2018, July at Old Trafford in Manchester. The klass player Rahul scored 101* runs from just 54 deliveries. His knock helped the Indian to chase the target of 160 easily.

Rahul’s First Game for the Indian Team
Rahul participated in the Duleep Trophy in 2014–15, and his performance earned him a place in the Indian squad.
Then, in December 2014, he participated in an Indian team game in Australia. He eventually made his Test debut on Boxing Day in Melbourne, taking Rohit Sharma’s spot. He scored three and one in each of the two innings, meaning the Test match didn’t go smoothly.
However, Rahul cemented his place in the team with a spectacular 110 in the following Test match, which was played in Sydney.
