In this blog, we are going to take after the most expensive kabaddi players in pro kabaddi history. For the last few years, the Pro Kabaddi League’s (PKL) auctions have been an occasion to watch. It has been a great event to look forward to. Each year the franchisee and players’ value is increasing due to the high demand for the Pro Kabaddi league. High value is displayed in auctions with each passing year. Players’ fees are getting higher with every new auction. Plus the trend to spend more money for the good players is consistent in PKL leagues.  

Moreover, the season 9 auction was not new. Starting from Fazel Atrachali who was the first player to have the record to be the highest-paid overseas player. Next, The Bengaluru Bulls defeated  Tamil Thalaivas to Vikash Kandola by spending ₹1.75 crores as a fee of the player. It gave a clear indication that the Bulls resigned Pawan Sehrawat to other teams with higher prizes. 1. Pawan Kumar Sehrawat: 

Pawan Kumar Sherawat is a special player among all. He is the ‘High flyer’ of PKL. The team Bulls gave a bit of a shocking surprise by releasing Pawan Kumar into auctions. The participants of auctions knew Pawan deserved to cross ₹2 crores mark. So after an intense battle between the two teams U Mumba and Tamil Thalaivaa. Pawan was finally sold to Tamil Thalaivaa. His bid amount was ₹2.26 crores which is the highest bid of all time in PKL. Therefore, he is considered as one of the most expensive kabaddi players.

2. Vikash Kandola:

Vikash Kondola has a unique quality of consistency with a high number of 150+ raid points in three previous seasons. Vikesh was a bonus player for the Bulls and they easily relied on him for do-or-die raids. Bengaluru Bulls bid Vikash for 1.70 crore. Vikesh Kandola is in the list of the most expensive kabaddi players in the history of PKL.

3. Pardeep Narwal:

Pardeep Narwal came into the auctions after he achieved five stellar trophy-laden seasons in the Pirates’ green. The prices of bids were very high for Pradeep. The last active bid for Pradeep was ₹1.65 crores remaining to UP Yoddha. Hence, Pardeep Narwal became one the most expensive kabaddi players in the list of  PKL history.

4. Monu Goyat:

Monu Goyat was an exceptional supporter of Pardeep Narwal in a raid. Monu Goyat was taken by the team Haryana Steelers in the auction with a whopping amount of 1.51 crores.  The Haryana Steelers faced disappointments in a few seasons. Bout Monu Goyat managed to mark his performance to be a positive standout.

5. Siddharth Desai:

Siddharth Desai is recognized as the  ‘Baahubali’ of PKL. He has a great record of doing the quickest raids with 50, 100, and 200 points in 2019 along with a total of 217 points. A minor injury impacted his performance for 2 seasons. But he was bedded with an amount of 1.45 crore to Telugu Titans.

6. Fazel Atrachali:

Fazal Atrachali is the remarkable player who was the first to manage a crore barrier in the history of PKL in season 6. This Iranian defender Fazal was down with an amount of 1. Crore to U Mumba by the 2018 PKL season. U Mumba has achieved immense success with having Fazal on board as a captain as well as a player too.

7. Rahul Chaudhari:

Rahul Chaudhari is one of the few players who is on the posters of PKL lately. Rahul was with Telugu Titans until 5 seasons of PKL. The Titans released Rahul before the 2018 PKL auctions. However, they managed to get back Rahul Chaudhari with a whopping 1.29 crore. Rahul was in the second position on the list of most expensive kabaddi players of the 2018 PKL season.

8. Guman Singh:

Guman Singh is a rounder player in Pro Kabaddi League. He has an amazing set of records of his raid points in the charts. Guman earlier played for Patna Pirates and Jaipur Pink Panther in seasons 7 and 8 respectively. Later, in season 9 auditions he was sold with an amount of 1.22 crore by U Mumba.

9. Nitin Tomar:

Nitin Tomar started playing for INR 93 lakh by UP Yoddha. Tomar Was always in the kits of expensive players of PKL. After the massive breakout in season 5, Tomar was in demand with crore bids. He was a great asset for UP Yoddha. But later taken down in the auctions with an amount of 1.20 crore by Puneri Paltan.

10. Deepak Hooda:

In 2018, Deepak Hooda was the most expensive player of PKL including  Nitin Tomar. This was the first year where players earned in crores.  Deepak Hooda was taken by the champions Jaipur Pink Panthers with a bid amount of INR. 1.15 crore. Pink Panther has been with Deepak Hooda since then. However, Deepak Hooda has never disappointed them with his brilliant captaincy and performance.
